This includes an interesting discussion of the connection between Fearchar, [[Paul Mactire]] and [[Gilleoin of the Aird]] indicating that it was Paul who was descended from the Gilleoin and not Fearchar.{{sfn|Cowan|McDonald|2012|p=[https://archive.org/details/albacelticscotla0000unse/page/114/mode/1up 114]}} He also discusses the connection in the manuscript between Gilleoin, the Mackenzies and the Mathesons.{{sfn|Cowan|McDonald|2012|p=[https://archive.org/details/albacelticscotla0000unse/page/113/mode/1up 113]}} This may be of importance considering that fact that participants in [[Y-DNA R Haplogroup - Family 02]] include both Rosses and descendants of these Mathesons of Lochalsh.
