This template returns information about Old Parish Registers based on information found in the 'Parish Number' and 'Ref' search results columns of the ScotlandsPeople website. It is used primarily by {{ScotlandsPeople catalog}} and {{ScotlandsPeople church full}}.

For the most part, parish numbers provided by ScotlandsPeople correspond to the parish numbers found in the Detailed List of the Old Parochial Registers of Scotland.

Usage

To return the holder of the volume, i.e. Registrar General or Local Registrar:

To return the volume number:

To return the dates covered by the volume:

Example The birth of Joanna Stronach, daughter of David Stronach and Kathrine Ross, on 23 June 1771, appears in search results with 'Parish number' 64 and 'Ref' 10 / 28. This means it was recorded in Fearn Parish, 1st volume, page 28. To return information about this volume, enter 64/10 in this parameter.	String	required
