| Description | Description of the extent of the lands of Kilravock (NAI) and Easter Geddes (NAI) which belong to Hugh de Ros (later Rose), and Mariota, his spouse, at Invernairn in 1295, through the good, honest and faithful men of the country, viz.: by Robert the falconer, William thane of Moyness, Donald, thane of Cawdor, Thomas the hunter, Fergus the Judex, Alexander Husband (the husbandman?), John son of Duncan, Duncan of Urchany, Walter son of Thomas son of Neuini, Richard Mul, William Wood, John Orlet, Hugh son of William, Henry … of Kildrummie, Elias Juster. These men pledged by oath and declared their unanimous consent that the land of Kilravock, with all its pertinents, viz.: with the mill, brewery, quarellis (quarry?) and wood, is worth twenty-four pounds per year. Other the other hand, the land of Easter Geddes, with the mill and brewery, is worth twelve pounds per year, with the sum total of each land being thirty-six pounds. |
