Title Charter of confirmation by King James VI, of two charters of sale made by Walter Urquhart, sheriff of Cromartie, to Elizabeth Ross, daughter of Hugh Ross of Kilrawok, in implement of a contract of marriage between them dated Kilrawok 31 August 1579
Description The one of the western half of the oxgate lands of Nether Pitnelie with two oxgates and a half of the lands of Ballkucht and the half of the three oxgate lands of Pittogarty, to her in liferent and to the heirs male of their bodies, and their assignees, - whom failing to the heirs male and assignees of the said Walter; to be held of the Crown for rendering the services due from said lands dated at Braye 13 September 1579. The other charter of the same date of the towns and lands of Wester Balblair, Auchmertyne, and Ballais Kailie, in the barony and shire of Cromartie, to her in liferent, and to the heirs male of their bodies, whom failing, to revert to the said Walter and his heirs male whomsoever, - to be held of the Crown for rendering the services due and wont. Given under the Great Seal at Stirling Castle.
