Discussion
“For ‘1259’ read ‘1258’. The document is self-dated ‘18 March 1258’, but must be of 18 March 1257/8, since Walter Comyn, earl of Menteith, who is a party to the treaty, died in October-November, 1258 (British Chronology, 483). For full text, see Edwards, Littere Wallie, no. 317.”[4]
