Please do not consider the Geni.com family tree a reliable source for information about ancestors. Collaborative family trees such as this are notorious for perpetuating errors and for publishing unsubstantiated information. Geni.com has the added feature of volunteer curators, which helps to minimize some of the more common issues you would find in Ancestry.com family trees or in the FamilySearch family tree. It's a big job, though, so it's still important to make sure that there are sufficient source citations to support the claims made. Public family trees are a great opportunity to see what other people are thinking and which sources have already been identified, but should only be used as a starting point. Everything stated there should be confirmed using primary sources or, at the very least, secondary sources.
