Rex vicecomitibus Londonise, salutem. Mandamus vobis quod de exitibus ballivse vestrse habere faciatis Willelmo comiti de Ros, Andrese de Morpenne, Johanni de Moubray, et Nicholao Randolfe, inimicis nostris nuper in conflictu Scotiæ captis et in prisona Turris Londoniæ commorantibus, et duobus custodibus eorumdem, vadia sua pro sustentatione sua a festo sancti Michaelis proximo præterito donec aliud inde habueritis in mandatis; viz., prædicto comiti sex d., per diem, et cuilibet prædictorum armigerorum quatuor d., et cuilibet prædictorum custodum tres d. per diem. Et cum sciverimus quæ vadia eis deliberaveritis, vobis super proximum compotum vestrum ad scaccarium nostrum debitam allocationem inde habere faciemus.

Translation
Salute to the king's sheriffs of London. We order you to have William, Count of Ros, Andres de Morpenne, John de Moubray, and Nicholas Randolph, of our enemies, lately taken in the conflict of Scotland, and residing in the prison of the Tower of London, and two of their keepers, their bailies for their maintenance from the feast of St. Michael next past, until you have other instructions from that time; viz., to the aforesaid count six d. per day, and to each of the aforesaid squires four d., and to each of the aforesaid guards three d. per day. And when we have known what rations you have delivered to them, we will cause you to have a due allocation from your next account to our treasury.

- 960. The Sheriffs of London are commanded to pay William earl of Ros, Andrew de Moray, John de Moubray, Nicholas Randolf, William Duglas, John de Fortone and Thomas de Morham, knights, Scottish prisoners in the Tower, for their sustenance since Michaelmas last, viz., the earl 6d. and the others 4d. a day, and their three warders 3d. each.
