Title Copy charter by the Adam of Urquhart Laird of Inchrore and Sheriff of Cromarty
Description Granting to God and the Virgin Mary and to the chaplain celebrating divine service in the chapel of St Mary of Inchrore, for the souls of William, Earl of Ross and of his parents, and for the souls of the granter and of his parents and of all the faithful dead, of an annual rent of 5 merks out of the said lands of Inchrore together with a croft of land called the Alehouse Croft in the territory of Inchrore, for a sufficient maure to the said chaplain, with pasture for one horse, 12 cows, one bull, and 80 sheep in the said land of Inchrore, and the right of having fuel from the moors woods and mountains etc without hindrance from any one. To be held by the said chaplain and his successors, in free, pure, perpetual alms, as freely as any kirklands in Scotland, under reservation to the granter and his heirs, of the right of patronage and presentation of the chaplain as often as a vacancy occurs.
