Title Instrument narrating that John Ross, laird of Balnagowine, compeared in Castle of Dingvaile, with Alexander McCuloch, laird of Pladdis, sir Henry Graa, vicar of Kilmuir, and Christian Foras, burgess of Tayne, and deponed before John, earl of Ross, lord of the Isles, and his council, that a certain charter by William, formerly earl of Ross, son and heir of Hugh, his predecessor, formerly earl of Ross, kt., of lands of Olsbustule and Innerovyrcascelayne in Farnacoskyre in earldom of Suthirlande, sheriffdom of Invernys, was sealed, was not cancelled or in any way suspect, and had been in custody of said Christian for 24 years and of said Henry for 4 years
Description Notary: Thomas White, clerk, St Andrews diocese. Witnesses: John Stewart, lord of Lorne, Lachlan McGillione, laird of Douarte, William, thane of Caldore, John McGillione of Colla, Roland, son of Alexander.
