Title Precept of Sasine by John de Yle to give sasine, to the said earl's cousin John de Monro of all and sundry Estir and Westir Fowlis, Cathoil, Logy, Contolich, Dachane, Carbistil and Innerlayoun
Description Precept of Sasine by John de Yle, Earl of Ross and Lord of the Isles requiring Hugh de Monro, his bailie, to give sasine, to the said earl's cousin John de Monro, son of deceased George de Monro of Foulis, the said earl's cousin, of all and sundry Estir and Westir Fowlis, Cathoil, Logy, Contolich, Dachane, Carbistil and Innerlayoun, in the earldom of Ross, within the sheriffdom of Innernys, in virtue of inquest held at the bridge of Alnes finding that said John de Monro was lawful and nearest heir of his said father in said lands, and that he was of lawful age. Sealed at Dingvale by said earl, and said bailie is instructed to append his seal in token of sasine.
