Noveritis nos de consensu et assensu et matura deliberacione tocius nostri consilii dedisse concessisse et hac presenti carta nostra imperpetuum confirmasse carissimo fratri nostro Celestino de Insulis de Lochalche necnon et vicecomiti de Innernys cjmnes et singulas terras nostras de Strathalmadale cum pertinenciis jacentes in comitatu Cathanie infra vicecomitatum de Innemys. Translation

To all who shall see or hear this letter, John de Yle, count of Rossie and lord of the Isles, eternal salvation in the Lord. You will know that we, by agreement and consent, and by early deliberation, have given our speedy counsel, and by this present charter have confirmed our perpetual grant to our dearest brother Celestine de Insulis de Lochalche, as well as to the sheriff of Innernys, and each of our lands of Strathalmadale with their appurtenances, lying in the county of Cathanie under the sheriffship of Enemys. In witness whereof we have caused our seal to be affixed to our present charter. At Ayremore on the twenty-fifth day of April in the year of the Lord one thousand four hundred and sixty-seven. Discussion

In his article about Maelrubha of Applecross, William Reeves wrote, "The Red Priest was Gilla Patrick O'Beollan, whose daughter was married or handfasted to Alexander, Lord of the Isles of Lochalsh, and was mother of Celestine de Insulis, in whose charter of 1467 these lands are included." This is the only charter located pertaining to Celestine de Insulis and dated 1467. It does not list Applecross among the lands here.

comment: See nos.19 and 82. Strathhalladale seems to have become part of the Mackay lands soon after 1500. Although the lands dealt with are in Sutherland, this is the only charter dated from Ayremore; this location has caused some speculation, and it has even been identified as Aviemore in Strathspey (Clan Donald, ii, 507). It is in fact probably the same place as Arymore which gave its name to 12 merk lands in Knapdale granted to John in 1481 (no.A37), in the portion of that lordship lying south of West Loch Tarbert (see no.A35 comment). Arivore farm at Glenreasdell, near Whitehouse, is on OS map 1 : 10 000, and there is a dun at the lochside on Eilean Araich Mhoir (Argyll Inv., i, no.209). There is also an Arrevore in Islay (no.A45).
