| Title | Bond of friendship in indenture form (with two copies) between William, Lord Forbes, Sir Alexander Forbes of Petsclego (Pitsligoe), Alexander Forbes of Thothquhane (Tolqhon), Arthur of Forbes and John of Forbes of Burthuhis (Brachouss) on one part and Duncan Makyntoschy (McIntosh), chief and captain of Clanchattane [Chattan], Hutcheon Ross, baron of Kilrawake (Kilravock), and Allan and Lauchlan Makyntoschy (McIntosh), brothers of said Duncan, on the other, the latter party reserving their allegience to the Earl of Ross.
