2738. 23rd December 1674.] Instrument of Sasine in terms of a disposition (dated at Inverness, 12th December 1674) by John Polson Robertson, merchant, burgess of Inverness, assignee and cessioner of John Polson of Merkinshe [cf. No. 2720 supra], in favour of Robert Barbour, dean of guild, Inverness, of the two mills of Ferne, mill-crofts, multures, etc., lying in the abbacy of Ferne and sheriffdom of Ross. Witnesses to disposition, George Dunbar, servitor of granter, and Alexander M'Intosh, writer in Inverness. Sasine given by Andrew Fraser in Ferne, bailie, to Colin Ros, 'multerer' in Ferne, on behalf of grantee, 23rd, and recorded at Fortrose 29th, December 1674. Witnesses, Hector Hectorson, 'multerer' in Ferne, William M'Finlay in Balblair, Donald Sutherland and Donald Denune, millers in Ferne. Notary, David Ros, of the diocese of Ross. [2731, Box 70.
