| Description | Agreement between (i) Walter of Moray, son of the late William of Moray, and (ii) Andrew, bishop of Moray, with the will and consent of the dean and chapter, over the churchland of ‘Ewen’ (Kirkton of Barevan, in Cawdor, NAI). Walter will hold the aforesaid land of ‘Ewen’ at perpetual feuferme from the bishop, by its right bounds and with all its just pertinents, for an annual render of 20s for all service and demand, half at Martinmas and Pentecost, and making the forinsec service of the lord king. The bishop, with the will and consent of the chapter, have given and granted to Walter in perpetual feuferme all his land of ‘Budist’ (?Budgate, in Cawdor, NAI) by its right bounds and with all its just pertinents, free and quit from all service and demand pertaining to the bishop, for an annual render of two marks, half at Martinmas and half at Pentecost, making forinsec service to the lord king. |
