Description	Alan son of Roland, constable of Scotland, has granted and established by his charter, to Hugh of Crawford, the third part of the villa of Stevenston (AYR), which Margaret, daughter of Adam Loccard (Lockhart) sold to the same Hugh for 40 marks, and the whole right to which she quitclaimed to Hugh and his heirs in perpetuity, and which she restored to Hugh in Alan’s court by staff and baton. Margaret has also renounced all right that she had in the church of Irvine (AYR) in perpetuity, and in the court of Alan’s lord Alexander, king of Scots, she has given Hugh her charter of quitclaim, as a woman of legal age and lawful power. Alan has granted and established this to the aforesaid Hugh and his heirs for the third part of the service of one knight, according to the charter of the same Margaret.
