Title	Charter by William de Monte Alto to David de Donouen of a davach of land in Feruenes [Farness, Cromarty], among the other davachs of Feruenes in tenement of Crumbauthin [Cromarty], lying next but one davach to castle of Crumbauthin (in excambion for land of Kyppen which said William's father gave to said David for his homage and service, and for 2 marks of land in land of Donouen which said David held of his brother), to be held in fee and heritage, for reddendo of 2 marks of silver annually and performing king's forinsec service pertaining to that davach, with provision that if said William fails to warrant said davach to grantee or his heirs said William shall provide land of same value at sight of lawful men (per visum proborum hominum). Witnesses - Sir Robert, bishop of Ross, Sir William, earl of Ross, Sir William French (Francisco), Sir William son of Augustine, Sir John, vicar of Innernes, Geoffrey Sures, burgess of Innernes, Malcolm, clerk.
