Description	The part of the collection is arranged as follows: GD305/1/1-146: This part of the catalogue is based, with a few additions, on a photostat copy of the three volume 'Inventory of the Cromartie Muniments' prepared by Sir William Fraser in 1867. It deals mainly with feudal titles, 1257-1877. GD305/1/147-168: This part is based on a photostat copy of a list of 'Cromartie Papers' prepared by Fraser in 1866. These papers are bound in 22 volumes and include legal, estate, financial and personal papers and manuscripts relating to public and military affairs and to Ross and Cromarty local business, 1546-1862. GD305/1/169-170: Cromartie Letters. These are the two volumes of correspondence 1662-1774, mostly relating to national affairs, published in Frasers 'The Earls of Cromartie' (Edinburgh, 1876). GD305/1/171: Narrative of the '45 by Lord Macleod published in 'The Earls of Cromartie'. GD305/1/172: Manuscript history of the Mackenzies by the first Earl of Cromartie published in 'The Earls of Cromartie'.
