Description Instrument of Sasine in favour of John Monro, portioner of Culcairne, and Elizabeth Bayne, relict of Andrew Monro, sometime portioner of Culcairne, of the lands of Knockankirin, in the parish of Kiltearne, proceeding on precept in contract of wadset for 1,650 merks, dated 4 Apr 1687, betwixt Sir John Monro of Foullis, with consent of Robert Monro, younger thereof, his eldest lawful son, on the one part, and said Elizabeth Bayne and said John Monro, her eldest lawful son now in life, on the other part. Witnesses to contract, James Monro, younger of Drummond, Hugh Monro, brother-german of said John Monro, Robert Douglas and John Monro, servitors to said laird of Foullis, and Alexander Monro, writer in Edinburgh. Witnesses to sasine, Alexander Monro of Kettuall, Hugh Monro, servitor to Sir George Monro of Culraine, Robert Douglas and John Monro, servitors to said laird of Foullis. Notary, David Ross. Registered in the Particular Register of Sasines for Inverness, etc, 1 Jun 1687
