Description	William, earl of Ross, has granted, and by this his present charter has established, to the church of Moray and Bishop Archibald, the donation made to them by the late Freskin of Moray, lord of Duffus, of two davochs of the land at Clyne in Ross, to support two chaplains in the aforesaid church to celebrate mass for the dead, in pure and perpetual alms, according to what Freskin’s charter drawn up on the matter the more fully bears witness. He has also granted to the same church and bishop of Moray, and given and quitclaimed, regarding him and his heirs in future, the annual render of one pound of pepper owed from the same land. He and his heirs will make the forinsec service of the lord king belonging to the land of Clyne in future, and he and his heirs will preserve all exactions, services, customs, aids and secular demands pertaining to that land as immune, forever.
