| Description | The lord king has ordered that it is his pleasure that his cousin, Lady Joanna, wife of Sir John Comyn the son, should have 200 marks of land in Tynedale for her sustenance, to hold at his pleasure, until he has ordered otherwise therein; without escheats, wards and reliefs. Also, he has ordered that the countess of Ross shall have £100 worth of land for her support, outside the earldom of Ross; and if the lands outside are not sufficient, that she receive the surplus at the exchequer of Scotland in money, without escheats, etc. Also, he has ordered that the countess of Atholl shall have £100 worth of land outside the earldom of Atholl for her sustenance. And if the lands outside are not sufficient, that she receive the surplus at the exchequer of Scotland in money, without escheats, etc. |
