Note: It is important here to distinguish between peerage titles and suffixes associated with feudal land owners. 'Earl of Ross' is a peerage title and belongs in Property:Has position title.
Hugh Ross 3rd of Balnagown was a laird, or land owner. This is not a peerage title. '3rd of Balnagown' is used as a suffix to distinguish him from the many other lairds of Balnagown. It can be entered in Property:Has name suffix. 'Laird of Balnagown' can then also be entered in Property:Has position title in order to identify him as one of the many lairds of Balnagown.
